Inverter-type welding rectifiers are designed for manual arc welding with piece covered electrodes (MMA) at direct current. These are high-frequency rectifiers, which include a transistor inverter that converts direct current into alternating current of high frequency (20-100 kHz). The use of such a scheme can significantly reduce the weight and dimensions of the rectifier.
