Welded pipes (oil and gas pipes for infield pipelines) are used to transport crude oil and natural gas from fields to refineries, storage tanks, and loading points and distribution hubs.
Welded pipes are manufactured on HFC electric-welding units or furnace welding units, both with volumetric normalization and hot reduction, and without them. The pipes can be supplied with the inner burr removed. Volume normalization and hot reduction allow equalizing the properties of the base metal and the weld seam and obtaining pipes with a high level of strength and ductility characteristics. The welding mode with oxygen blasting of the edges of the strip allows to obtain pipes with an improved quality of the weld.
