Synchronous reactance technology combines the characteristics of a permanent magnet motor with the simplicity and serviceability of an induction motor. The rotor has no magnets or windings and practically does not suffer from power losses. And since there are no magnetic forces in the rotor, maintenance is just as easy as with induction motors.
