RTAD free-cooling chillers are equipped with an additional heat exchanger for direct cooling of the water circuit with external ambient air. When the control unit detects that the free cooling heat exchangers can meet the cooling demand, the compressors are switched off. Only the unit fans remain in operation. Thus, energy consumption during the cold season is significantly reduced.
