Many distribution networks consist of both cable and overhead lines. Today, overhead networks are found mainly in rural and suburban areas. In such networks, pole transformers are usually used to distribute electricity to consumers through low voltage networks.
To minimize outage times and improve the SAIDI (Average System Interruption Duration Index) and SAIFI (Average System Interruption Frequency Index) indices, outdoor control cabinets are used to control the primary devices, i.e. disconnectors, load break switches. Operational control allows you to receive information about the distribution substation connections in real time. In the event of damage to the power system, control cabinets activate control functions to execute commands over reliable communication lines.
