The high pulse frequency and minimal energy ensure that there are no side effects and no stress on the corneal tissue. Precision optics, tuned light sources and a fast scan system create a focused beam of self-overlapping pulses. This results in a smooth, uniform cut. The operation uses short focus, optimized optical elements and a large numerical aperture. This approach significantly reduces the formation of "gas bubbles", and also smoothes postoperative corneal edema. Structurally, the system is designed to work in conjunction with an existing excimer laser of any manufacturer or an operating microscope. Patients can be operated directly on the excimer laser table.
